The Data Foundation is proud to announce that the Datum Awards have returned for a seventh year! Datum Awards 2025 honor exceptional government data champions who are transforming how we use data and evidence to better serve the public.

The Datum Awards spotlight federal leaders who are creating and advancing meaningful initiatives that transform data into strategic policies and deliver impactful results.

The 2025 awards recognize leaders across all three positions established under the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act, as well as political leaders and other categories that align with the Data Foundation's mission of making government more effective and transparent through the better use of data.

UPDATE: We recognize that the ongoing government shutdown may affect federal workers’ ability to attend in person, which is why we are expanding the scope of the ceremony and reception: Please join us in celebrating areas of progress in open data and evidence-informed policymaking in 2025—including work by our Datum Award recipients—and helping us to launch the People’s Data 100, a new initiative to identify the federal datasets that deliver the greatest value to Americans.
