Overview

The need for high quality, accurate, and timely public health data cannot be overstated. Recent investments from Congress in our public health agencies have been directed toward improving our national public health data infrastructure. Thankfully, due to the passage of the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act, these investments can leverage the powerful mechanisms contained within the law to take significant and meaningful steps forward in improving data sharing, data access, and privacy protection.

On March 2, 2023, the Data Foundation hosted a conversation with data and public health experts about what agencies can do to use the Evidence Act and recent investments in public health data to improve data sharing, protect privacy, and further power evidence-based decision making in public health.
