Overview
While artificial intelligence has been described in popular culture for half a century, only in the last several years have applications have been considered for the field of program evaluation. With rapid advances in generative AI, there is a timely need for identifying opportunities and risks, and how to calibrate with the professional evaluation standards. This Issues in Evaluation webinar, a partnership between the Data Foundation and the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), convened experts from across the evaluation field to discuss the implications of the rapid evolution in AI for the field of evaluation, including a dialogue about the risks, benefits, and opportunities for improving the field and practice in the years ahead.
