Health Data Policy Exchange: Can the 5 Safes meet the needs of public health?

Please join the Data Foundation’s Health Data Policy Exchange for an in-depth conversation on the privacy frameworks envisioned by the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act and what challenges may be posed by the specific needs of public health. 

The Evidence Act realized recommendations from the bipartisan Commission on Evidence-Based Policymaking, which created a roadmap for how data and evidence could be put to routine use in the business of government and policy making. This vision however took a broad approach to government data, and now agencies are hoping to leverage that vision to meet their needs, while addressing unique challenges. 

Recently, the Data Foundation hosted the first webinar in our series on the Evidence Act and Privacy, where we learned about the model of the 5 Safes. (Watch recording here.)
