Five years after the U.S. Commission on Evidence-Based Policymaking issued its unanimous and bipartisan recommendations to the President and Congress, two major pieces of legislation took steps to implement key recommendations from the commission. Yet there are still continued areas for building capacity, providing resources, and making progress in implementing the Evidence Commission’s vision for a more evidence-informed society, with accessible data and evidence.
On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, the Data Foundation and the Bipartisan Policy Center held a discussion along with government officials and members of civil society about the progress to date and next steps in implementing the Evidence Commission’s vision and recommendations on the 5-year anniversary of its milestone report.
