Overview

Attendees joined the Data Foundation for a dynamic virtual forum focused on the intersections of data, policy, and artificial intelligence (AI). The Data Foundation AI Public Forum invites researchers, policy experts, technologists, and advocates to share bold ideas, important questions, and forward-looking proposals on how data policy should evolve in response to the rapid advancement of AI technologies and uses in the public sector.

Structured around 5-minute presentations, this virtual forum offers a fast-paced and highly engaging format that encourages concise, impactful contributions. Speakers will be grouped based on the federal agencies they are directing their comments towards, such as the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), Department of Education, Department of Labor and other key cabinet agencies. Within each agency-focused group, talks will explore various themes, ranging from data transparency and access to algorithmic accountability. This forum structure creates a space for targeted discussion, focused recommendations, and strategic insights tailored to specific federal agencies.

Following the forum, the Data Foundation will analyze key takeaways, highlight recurring themes, and elevate actionable ideas for policymakers and stakeholders in a brief report.
