On April 28, 2026, the Data Foundation convened a virtual forum to examine how universities and nonprofits can engage with the Genesis Mission Executive Order, signed on November 24, 2025. The order established the American Science and Security Platform (ASSP), directing the Department of Energy (DOE) and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) to integrate federal scientific data and deploy AI agents across 17 national laboratories, with the stated goal of doubling U.S. scientific productivity within a decade.
