Sonia Wang is a Senior Advisor supporting the Data Foundation’s Special Projects and the Climate Data Collaborative. Sonia’s professional work focuses on the intersection of science and public policy. She’s interested in the sustainable management and use of natural features and processes to tackle existing and emerging climate challenges and mainstreaming nature in decision-making. Prior to joining the Data Foundation, Sonia held positions at the White House Office of Management and Budget and the Office of Science and Technology Policy where she helped design and implement various climate and environment initiatives of the Biden-Harris Administration.
Sonia holds a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of the Environment and Bachelor degrees in Environmental Sciences and Public Policy & Leadership from the University of Virginia.
