Ben Berres is a Senior Advisor on the Evidence Capacity team. With a career spanning over two decades, Ben is a seasoned data and technology leader specializing in systems and initiatives that support children/youth, families, and communities. His experience encompasses the non-profit sector, public sector, philanthropy, startups, and private industry. He brings considerable experience in launching strategic initiatives, leading cross-functional teams, and designing analytics and evidence building strategies. Prior to joining the Data Foundation, Ben founded and led a consultancy providing strategic data and technology advisory services to non-profits, foundations, and public agencies. He has also held leadership roles at Project Evident, Accenture, University of California, Berkeley School of Social Welfare, and the University of Washington School of Social Work. Ben holds a MPA and a MSW from the University of Washington, where he also earned his BS. His dedication to the field is driven by his commitment to improving societal outcomes through data and evidence.
