Tyler Stotland is a Graduate Fellow supporting the Data Foundation’s Climate Data Collaborative. Tyler uses and creates data science and geospatial tools for effective environmental problem-solving, particularly in terms of climate change mitigation and resilience. Before joining the Data Foundation, Tyler served as a Climate Change Fellow at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where she worked on quantifying conservation practices and greenhouse gas emissions in American agriculture as part of the Inflation Reduction Act implementation. Her professional background also includes tackling African deforestation through the voluntary carbon market, conducting academic research on urban extreme heat and coastal flooding in South Asia, and facilitating public health and environmental justice policymaking in Massachusetts. Tyler holds a Master of Environmental Science from the Yale School of the Environment and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Environmental Studies and Community Health from Tufts University.
