Overview

The Financial Data Transparency Act amends securities and banking laws to make the information reported to financial regulators electronically searchable, to further enable the development of regulatory technologies and artificial intelligence applications. To harmonize data across the “covered agencies,” the law required a joint rulemaking body to issue a rule on data standards, which we have seen the first signs of in the past two weeks!

The Data Foundation hosted a virtual event to take a closer look at the recently released proposed joint rule on data standards associated with the Financial Data Transparency (FDTA) of 2022. During the webinar, we will discuss key portions of the proposed joint rule and strategies for effective comments. An opportunity will be provided for the public to engage with experts. The public event will feature experts, including:

  • Nick Hart, President and CEO, Data Foundation
  • Ashley Nelle-Davis, Chief of Staff, Data Foundation
  • Bridget Hughes, Vice President, Corporate Governance & Compliance Services, Global Capital Markets, Donnelley Financial Solutions (DFIN)
