Data Foundation Welcomes Leaders from Academia, Non-Profits, and Industry as New Board Members

Washington, D.C. – The Data Foundation, a non-profit think tank focused on encouraging the use of data to benefit society, welcomes five new members to the Board of Directors. 

Dr. Molly Irwin, Vice President, Research and Science, Pew Charitable Trusts; 

Ms. Valerie Logan, CEO and Founder, The Data Lodge; 

Dr. Kathryn Newcomer, Professor of Public Policy and Public Administration, George Washington University; 

Dr. Nancy Potok, former Chief Statistician of the United States; 

Mr. Kris Rowley, former chief data officer, General Services Administration 

These current and former leaders from the private sector, academia, government, and nonprofits will support the Data Foundation to expand and diversify our research, programming, and education initiatives.

The leadership and guidance from the new board members, along with the Data Foundation’s newly released pillars for 2020, will help direct the success of the organization going forward. The five core pillars for 2020 will support our core mission to provide research and education that will advance access and use of high-quality information across our society.
